The site offers an online magazine tailored to the specific interests of rural traders, covering news, ideas, events and legislation. and brings together a network of rural shopkeepers through the rural shop club.

DDEP Rural Retailer of the Year 2009

Love Your Shop!

This year see's the first year of the DDEP Rural Retailer of the Year Competition, which aims to find the best local, rural shop in Derbyshire serving it's local community.

What can you win?

There are some fantastic prizes on offer:

 

1st Prize of £1250 to invest in your business*,

2nd Prize of £750 to invest in your business*

3rd Prize of £500 to invest in your business*

4th Prize – A place on Mentoring for All Programme (prize value of £250)

How to enter

Shops entering must be within the RRISP Programme and be a member of the Shop Club.

Judging takes place in three phases:

  1. By Appilication - completed by you, the retailer. This form must be completed and returned to DRCC by the closing date of 18th June. Download an application form here.
  2. By Your Customers and Community through a survey, to be collected in ballot boxes available in the competing shop.

    IMPORTANT - You must notify Helen Faraday at DRCC on 01629 824797 by 1st June 2009 to confirm that you wish to enter the competition.We will then send you a pack of  Customer and Community Feedback Forms (RRCS)to hand out, and be available in the community for your potential customers, for them to tell us what they think about your shop. We will also supply a ballot box for these forms to be collected in and we will then gather the forms by the closing date.
  3. By a visit from a mystery shopper

Closing Date

The competition closes at noon on Thursday 18th June 2009.

All applications must be received by DRCC by this date and all Customer and Community survey forms must be posted in the ballot boxes, available in competing shops.
